We work to identify the underlying causes of the presenting problems and create an individualized treatment plan to restore health and well-being. Nothing satisfies me more than to know that I have made a positive change in a patient’s life-mentally, physically, emotionally.
I believe in finding the root cause of my patient’s dis-ease, educating my patients, treating the cause, and supporting my patients on their ongoing journey of health and well-being.
Naturopathic Medicine
It is based on the principles that the body has the ability to heal itself when the obstacles to cure are removed. Diet, supplements (vitamins, minerals, herbs), counselling and lab tests are among the tools used to help treat the underlying cause of the dis-ease in an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
Chinese Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine has been used for over 4000 years to treat ailments from the common cold, digestive issues, headaches, insomnia, musculoskeletal sprains and strains.
Cupping
Dating back to 300AD, cupping is the use of bamboo or glass cups to create a suction on the skin in areas of pain or stagnation of Qi and blood. The cups are used to move stagnant Qi and blood, resulting in improved circulation, relaxation of the local muscles and reduction of pain and tension.
Acupuncture
The use on sterilized fine needles inserted into specific Acupuncture points to treat imbalances of Qi (energy), blood, yin, yang in the body. Acupuncture is used to treat everything from pain, sprains, strains, headaches, insomnia, stress, anxiety, digestion, fatigue, PMS, irregular periods, fertility.
